NWT Dene vow to protect ‘most sacred’ Drybones Bay

The Northwest Territories’ Dene Nation is calling on the federal government to protect a sacred piece of land known as Drybones Bay.

The area is being eyed by mineral exploration companies looking for the next big diamond cache.

But the Dene are opposed to any exploration at the site, which is home to traditional hunting and burial grounds.
