Nunavut turns to youth and NDP candidate to try and get equality from Ottawa

Nunavut voted NDP for the first time since 1999, when the territory came into being.

Mumilaaq Qaqqaq, 25, was elected beating out former Conservative cabinet minister Leona Aglukkaq.

Qaqqaq was at her parent’s home in Baker Lake to watch the results roll in.
