Mi’kmaq from Elsipogtog have filed an Aboriginal title claim in New Brunswick.

The claim, filed in court last November, covers a third of the province.

There has been no response from the New Brunswick government yet.

But the Mi’kmaq are optimistic their tie to the land will stand up in court.
