New Sioux Lookout high school puts focus on Indigenous education

A new high school in northern Ontario officially opened its doors this week.

Sioux North High School replaces Queen Elizabeth District High School in Sioux Lookout.

The school, which educates around 500 students, dropped the Queen’s name, changed its logo, and is implementing a program that includes mandatory Indigenous course content.
