New Nova Scotia ferry named after late poet Rita Joe

Nova Scotia has named its latest ferry after the late poet Rita Joe.

Joe, who died in 2007 was from the Eskasoni First Nation.

The city held a contest to name the ship and Joe’s name was chosen.
