Negotiations on Wet’suwet’en rights and title continue

Talks over land rights continue with hereditary Wet’suwet’en leaders in northern B.C.

In a joint statement, Wet’suwet’en leaders, the provincial government and federal government all said they’re making progress hammering out a memorandum of understanding signed earlier this year.

But not the elected band councils.

Their goal is to reach consensus by mid-October.
