National MMIWG inquiry hearing from knowledge keepers and experts in Wendat

The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls has shifted gears and is now hearing from experts and knowledge keepers.

This week, the inquiry is in the Huron-Wendat Territory of Quebec City to gather evidence that will help commissioners file a report on the more than 1,200 missing or murdered Indigenous women and girls.

Born and raised in Montreal, Tom cut his teeth working in community television in Kahnawà:ke Mohawk Territory before joining APTN as a cameraman/editor in 2008. In 2015 he was promoted to Video Journalist. Since 2019 Tom has been a producer for the French weekly newscast Nouvelles Nationales d’APTN.
