National Indigenous History Month film screening shines light on 60s Scoop

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum held a screening of a film that highlights a dark part of Indigenous history – and one that people are still dealing with today.

“Birth of Family” is part of a series of events hosted by the museum this month.

And as Tamara Pimentel reports, some audience members deeply connected with the film.

Tamara is Métis from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She received a diploma in interactive media arts at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon and has worked as a videographer for CBC in Winnipeg and Iqaluit.
