A racist rant on Facebook by his wife four years ago has threatened to derail Gord Steeves’ mayoral hopes in Winnipeg.
On Friday he made a campaign promise to crackdown on public intoxication downtown with a greater police presence.
Then an anonymous Twitter account posted some remarks Steeves’ wife made on her Facebook in 2010 telling “drunken native guys” to get a job and stop begging for change.
