White Dog First Nation man on ‘dialysis strike’ until band changes

APTN National News
A man on the White Dog First Nation in Ontario is on what he is calling a “dialysis strike” until his band changes the way it operates.

Ricky MacDonald hasn’t eaten in more than a week either.

MacDonald alleges his band is corrupt and is mismanaging the community.

And he won’t go back on the life saving treatment until something changes.

APTN’s Shaneen Robinson now with more.

What a sad story. I hope Mr. MacDonald reconsiders his strike. He can do more to help his family and his community by being alive and healthy. He is already a positive role model and that is what is needed.
