Leader of controversial Aboriginal group sues for defamation

Guillaume Carle, the self-declared leader of a controversial Aboriginal group in Quebec, appeared before a judge Friday.

Carle alleged some media outlets writing about his heritage and organization have defamed his reputation.

He is seeking an astronomical amount in damages.
