Language key to holding community of Pikangikum together

Canada may consider English and French its two official languages, but in Pikangikum you won’t hear either very often. Ojibway is the language of choice in the community 500 km north of Thunder Bay.

Students start learning it at a young age and that carries on throughout their school life.
