Protesters: Keystone XL has “catastrophic implications”

APTN National News
Hundreds of protesters marched on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, demonstrating against the proposed development of the Keystone XL pipeline.

The protesters say that completing the Keystone XL project will have “catastrophic implications” for the environment.

Several First Nations lie in the proposed path of the project, which runs south through Alberta and several U.S. states, ending at the Texas coast.

APTN National News reporter Candace Maracle was at the protest, and files this report.
