Representatives from the Mohawk First Nation of Kahnawake appeared before the National Energy Board as part of ongoing consultations taking place in Montreal.

The consultations are about Enbridge’s latest proposal.

That proposal, if accepted would increase the amount of oil pumped through an existing pipeline.

It would also mean a switch to tar sands bitumen, a heavier oil than is being pumped through now.
