Justice system examined as witnesses start to testify at Quebec inquiry in Nunavik


The justice system was the subject of the Quebec inquiry that is examining the relationship between Indigenous peoples in the province and some state-run agencies and departments.

On Monday, commissioners were in Kuujjuaraapik, Nunavik – a sub-artic region in northern Quebec.

And the place where Inuit are killed by police at a much higher rate than other parts of the province.
