It takes a village – and partnership – to protect water in the N.W.T.


Water stewardship gatherings in Ka’a’gee Tu First Nation – Kakisa, Northwest Territories – are all about exchanging knowledge.

The five-day get-together is a partnership between Kakisa, Ecology North and Wilfred Laurier University.

Its goal is to get youth, elders, researchers and community members thinking about everything water.

And finding ways to protect the Mackenzie River watershed.
