Ipperwash beach cottage owners say it won’t be them that give in

APTN National News
Tensions continue to simmer in Ipperwash, Ontario.

It’s a place made famous for the tragic standoff that led to the death of a First Nations man, shot by the Ontario Provincial Police.

A barrier that was blocking the Ipperwash beach from vehicle traffic was recently torn down by local First Nation community members.

It was put up by cottage owners who want to keep the beach clear of cars.

It’s not clear who is going to give, but cottage owners told APTN it’s not going to be them.

Here’s Delaney Windigo with more.
