Look around Saskatoon this week and you’ll find hundreds of Indigenous people from the around the globe, as part of the World Indigenous Business Forum.

They’ve discovered that despite where they may live they face some the same challenges.

Nanette Tutua is with the Indigenous Business Council on the Solomon Islands.

“We are outnumbered by the few foreigners that come in to do business. They want to take control of the economy of our country,” said Tutua. “And they try to suppress us. They don’t want us to be in control. They come in and buy out our main land and they own all the buildings.”
