Igloolik man who pointed rifle at RCMP makes court apperance

The man accused of pulling a rifle on the RCMP in the Nunavut community of Igloolik made a very brief court appearance Wednesday in Iqaluit.

Shawn Kappianaq, 20, faces 12 charges following an armed standoff in Igloolik where police say he threatened them with a rifle.

Kappianaq is scheduled to appear in court again Thursday.
