It was a crash that shook the entire Ninawbe Aski Tribal Council.

Forty-nine communities in northern Ontario depend on small aircraft for almost everything.

The plane, owned by Keystone Air of Winnipeg, crashed two weeks ago, just shy of the runway on the North Spirit Lake First Nation.

Four people, including the pilot, were killed.

The crash’s sole survivor spoke publicly for the first time Thursday and APTN National News reporter Tiar Wilson was there.
