Grassroots effort to build ‘freedom road’ for First Nation falls short

It was an online fundraising campaign to raise a lofty goal – $10 million.

All to build an all-weather road for Shoal Lake #40.

While falling well short of their goal organizers are happy the campaign kept the issue in the spotlight.

And with a federal election underway they have no plans of letting up.
