Two blockades are underway in the Gaspe region of eastern Quebec.

People from Listuguj have blocked a railway line near the community since Dec. 28.

On Wednesday night, Mi’kmaq youth from Gesgapegiag First Nation have completely blocked Route 132, which runs through the community, until midnight Thursday.

Kateri Martin is one of the people involved in the blockade and she spoke to APTN National News by phone.
