The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations is hoping to catch the attention of federal Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan.

The FSIN says the Tories are throwing around “fairy tales” with their recently released numbers on First Nation education funding.

Vice-Chief Simon Bird says Duncan should visit some of the 74 reserves in the province to see the harsh reality First Nations children and educators face.

Bird says provincial authorities agree that First Nations education funding is not on par with provincial standards.
