Former site of World Indigenous Games in Alberta used as dumping ground for garbage

‘Just because we are so close to the city, people feel free to come here and dump their stuff,’

A member of the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta is taking on the task of cleaning up a once popular park that hosted the 2017 World Indigenous Games.

For the past two years, Robert Hope has been organizing cleanups of what is called the Sandhills in the Enoch Cree Nation.

He says community members and people from Edmonton are using the site as a garbage dump.
