The Ontario government is already planning an inquiry into the issue.

It’s important because juries are used not only in trials, but in the proceedings such as corner’s inquests where a jury makes findings and recommendations.

As APTN National News reporter Tiar Wilson found out, in Thunder Bay, Ont., this challenge to the legal system was sparked by a series of tragedies.
