First Nation tobacco traders plan to fight Harper government over Bill C-10

In the last federal election the Conservatives promised to crack down on contraband tobacco and that’s exactly what they’ll do with Bill C10, the safe streets and communities act.

Some say it targets First Nations involved in the Tobacco trade.

  1. Smoking tobacco causes cancer. Cancer kills and harms families. Treating cancer also has huge costs to the health-care system, which is only partially covered by the taxes on cigarettes. Smoking also makes you feel terrible. I can’t understand why anyone smokes.
