Emotions ran high in a Saskatoon courtroom Friday.

Emotions ran high in a Saskatoon courtroom Friday.

That’s because the former foster mother of Evander Lee Daniels was found not guilty of criminal negligence last week in the First Nation boy’s death.

Evander drowned in a bath tub of scalding hot water in 2010.

Eunice Wudrich was in the next room as the little boy died. She admitted in court to forgetting about Evander.

The child’s family is still reeling from the ruling and say they will not stop in their fight for justice.

APTN National News reporter Larissa Burnouf has the story.

  1. Wow! If this had happened in the natural families care…the sentence would’ve been harsh. This should be considered neglect with the Child and Family services being sued for damages. The foster mother was incompetent!
