Edmonton mayor supports First Nations elder barred from mall

A well-known First Nation elder in Alberta says he’s the victim of racial profiling after being barred from an Edmonton mall.

But the city’s mayor is backing him up.

    What a joke. Mall cops trying to enforce what, exactly? Go bust a shoplifter instead of bothering someone while they are eating.

    And mayor Ivesons words ring hollow.

    Cultural sensitivity training? Explain to me how that is going to solve the problem when Native peoples are also racist? Will you train them too?

    How about we just fire these mall clowns, and demand better standards among security and police in general?
