Chief of Lubicon Lake band talks about deal signed with Canada, Alberta

 

It took nearly 120 years but last month the Lubicon Lake band in Alberta signed a deal with Canada and the province.

The band will receive land and millions of dollars in compensation for being excluded from signing Treaty 8 in 1899.

Chris Stewart visited the Lubicon Lake band and talk to Chief Billy Joe Laboucan about what this deal means for the community.
