A majority vote by the chief and council of Bigstone Cree Nation in Alberta to award themselves $60,000 in bonuses isn’t sitting well with everyone.
The vote took place at the end of September and some councillors are still speaking out about it.
One member if flat out refusing to take it.
Why do we continue to screw ourselves! No democracy if Chief and Council are so self absorbed in their own success they forget the people who voted for them. Makes me sick to know this is still a huge problem amongst our people. You want your freedom but yet you still continue to shame our people by defrauding or using monies for personal gains. Shame!!!!!
I am a child of members and a member of BCN this is Criminal! We will not allow this to continue nor will we allow these actions against us to continue! We will not be bullied by these grade 3ers and they’re stupidity and bitterness! Outrageous not my leadership!!!!!
