Cat Lake mould problem causing mental health issues say politicians who have been in the community

The mould problem in Cat Lake First Nation is causing more problems than just the skin rashes that have been showing up on children and Elders.

Two politicians who have been touring the community say that people in the community are developing mental health issues.

More than 100 homes on the reserve 422 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay, Ont.

The leadership in Cat Lake say it has caused skin and respiratory problems for people in the community for years.

  1. Cat Lake problems(mold, shacks for homes, mental illnesses and sick suffering children) do not worry the Canadian government or its the politicians, but my son saw the news and was very upset. I believe the Candian government believes it cannot ever be sued for breaching the treaties. Treaty people need to test this assumption in the highest courts or go to England and test it at the house of the lords, from which the treaties were made. We can sue Canada and believe we will win. Because we have a country status, Canada is lesser, does not have the status of a country yet. We do have the negotiation powers, let’s use them.

  3. Where having a mold crisis here in cote first nation. I am wondering how to get government to notice , im a contractor and see it all over even elders moving away. I have training in mold redemiation . im looking for money to help my people
