Bowhead hunt makes Iqaluit return after 100 years

For nearly a century, hunters in Iqaluit have been denied a tradition that kept their ancestors alive in Nunavut’s unforgiving environment.

But after pressure was applied to the federal government, the hunt was finally allowed. It was Iqaluit’s turn to hunt the great whale this year.
