Bootlegging alcohol getting out of control in some parts of the North

Banning or limiting alcohol brings out the bootleggers and lifting restrictions often doesn’t help.

In the Sahtu region of the Northwest Territories the problem has gotten out of hand.

This is past winter the RCMP seized over $42,000 worth of illegal booze bound for the remote community of Tulita.

APTN’s Cullen Crozier visited the community.
