Bison make a comeback in Banff National Park thanks to Treaty 7 Nations, Metis of Alberta

Parks Canada has reintroduced Bison to what is now Banff National Park.

With the help of representatives from all Treaty 7 Nations and the Metis of Alberta, the animal now roams the area.

Bison has been extinct from the Ktunaxa Traditional Territory since the 1800s.
