On Tuesday, the federal government called for a national inquiry into shocking numbers of missing and murdered Indigenous women.

The news has brought hope to many families and friends who have lost someone.

But in British Columbia, which held an inquiry into the province’s missing and murdered women in 2010, there is mixed reaction.
