Baptist church in Halifax to drop controversial name

A Baptist church in Halifax says it will change its name out of respect for the Mi’kmaq people.

It is now looking for a name to replace the reference to the man who paid bounties for the scalps of the Mi’kmaq in the late 1700’s.
