There has been tough talk from Shawn Atleo lately.

Recently the national chief of the Assembly of First Nations told a British Columbia audience that the federal government is pushing First Nations into a corner.

Atleo was responding to a rash of bills that impact First Nations’ rights and title.

This week, he was the keynote speaker at the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships.

His speech had a more subdued tone.
