Arrests continue at Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain site in B.C.

APTN News
Three more women were arrested at the Kinder Morgan tank farm in Burnaby, B.C. Thursday, as anti-pipeline protests continued.

One group against the Trans Mountain expansion project came to be arrested – and they were – while another protest camp is getting bigger by the day.

It’s been just over 130 days since Camp Cloud has been set up and land defenders say they aren’t going anywhere until the $7.4-billion project grinds to a halt.

I truly admire those who question authority, who think for themselves and are willing to stand up and defend what they believe in. I only know that our lands are being stripped of their resources for profit and those activities are fully supported by business and government. So to all of you who are making a stand, thank you. I know it takes courage.

  2. Re: Kinder Morgan’s announcement that it’s suspending ‘non-essential’ spending on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion, ‘It’s just kinda used to divert attention away from what they are doing,’ i.e., essential construction of a tunnel through Burnaby Mountain.
