Anishinabek Nations to sign largest self-government agreement in Canadian history

Nearly two-dozen Anishinabek Nations are set to sign a historic education agreement with Canada Wednesday in Rama, north of Toronto.

  1. Our band was supposed to be one of the Manitoba bands to sign on but we are losing out because inac and the band cannot agree on who owes the monies that are owing to the teachers pensions. Just another tactic to keep First Nations teachers under paid and the students behind in the dinosaur ages of technology! Everybody knows if Chief and council sign this agreement they lose a big portion of pocket money they always take out of to do other band business. In the end its always the kids who lose!

  3. Why sign an agreement with a government that refuses to honour the first one it signed? Makes no sense.
