Akwesasne family scores victory against Ontario in battle over traditional Mohawk name

Up until recently, the province of Ontario made it difficult to register some traditional Indigenous names.

But that’s about to change and it’s a victory for a Mohawk family living in Akwesasne who took on the fight for recognition.
