The River Cree resort on Enoch First Nation in Alberta was home to climate change discussions over the last few days.

The event was hosted by the Assembly of First Nations and spoke about how climate change affects Indigenous people across the world.

AFN regional Chief Craig Mackinaw says there’s a lot of work to do, but he hopes the federal government is listening to Indigenous people when it comes to climate change.

And what, pray tell, are indigenous people saying about climate change as a group? It’s obvious that just like every other group, there are those that feel climate change is a big deal and others that feel it isn’t. Are they trying to say that because of the politics of climate change any pipeline going through reservations will now cost more?
