A member of Nunavut’s legislature is questioning how Canada’s department of Aboriginal Affairs is spending its money.

A member of Nunavut’s legislature is questioning how Canada’s department of Aboriginal Affairs is spending its money.

MLA Ron Elliott pointed out the fact that while Aboriginal Affairs spends $55 million a year on the Nutrition North Food subsidy, the department is spending twice as much on legal fees in the region.

Elliott says that is hard to swallow.
