House of Commons debate sets up vote on Pope Francis apology next week

A motion calling for Pope Francis to apologize to residential school survivors was debated for nearly four hours in the House of Commons Thursday.

The motion presented by NDP MP Charlie Angus also called on the government to pressure the church on a number of other issues.
