Having read the Tom Fennario report, I now have an explicit example of ‘fake news’. He writes that “Stonechild was left for dead on the outskirts of Saskatoon on a freezing cold night by two Saskatoon police officers”. That seems to be a complete fabrication of the facts as outlined by investigative author Candis McLean in her book titled “The Cold Hard Facts of Neil Stonechild’s Freezing Death”. Surely the CACP are expected to clarify facts before publicizing information that can and will have devastating effects on individuals. Read the book.
