For centuries the Mi’kmaq on the east coast caught salmon along the Fundy coast.

But about 25 years ago the salmon’s cycle collapsed as the adult fish stopped coming back to spawn.

Now one knows exactly why but First Nations in the Maritimes are now trying to save what’s left of them.
