Nation to Nation: Ontario only province to hire a MMIW special advisor

The Ministry of Justice has provided $16.7 million for all the provinces to hire advisors and set up liaison offices for MMIW families.

The Ministry of Justice has provided $16.7 million for all the provinces to hire advisors and set up liaison offices for MMIW families.

But Ontario is the only province to set up three offices and hire an advisor, Maggie Cywink.

She bridges the gap between the families and what services they can access from the province.

As well, today is 4/20.

And Indigenous people are developing the cannabis industry with legalization on the horizon.
