Indigenous leaders ask Manitoba government not to hold up Canada’s MMIW inquiry

Manitoba’s recently-elected PC government has been blamed for stalling Canada’s launch of the inquiry

Indigenous leaders in Manitoba met with the province Tuesday to urge them not to hold up the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women.

The new provincial government has been blamed for not wanting to sign off on the terms of reference.
