On Sunday, a prominent First Nation artist and hereditary Chief from BC performed a recently revived shaming ceremony on Parliament Hill.

The “copper cutting” ceremony involves breaking a ceremonial shield and is considered a great insult to whomever it’s aimed at.

APTN’s Annette Francis was at the ceremony.
