In Nova Scotia a single mother of three says the band council in Indian Brook has let her down.

While houses in the community sit empty, Lorraine Giorgi had to move her family into a tent.

APTN’s Tim Fontaine explains why.

    very surprising, not.!! this is hapening in all reserves, my family of 7 l lives in a 2 bedroom home that is the size of a garage. , i cant afford to live off reserve,  housing, bill costs are way too high.

  2. how surprising! its like that every where. i live in a 2 bedroom with 7 of us.
